We've had a facelift!

Check out our refreshed and improved website at www.nmetrics.net. You'll find updated product and solutions information, including an overview of our enhanced reporting features.

For nMetrics Partners, there is now a dedicated Partner Portal with resources for selling and supporting the nMetrics solution.

Please send feedback and suggestions for further enhancements to Katherine Craig at kcraig@nmetrics.net.

Go with the flow...

When you need complete visibility of who and what is generating network traffic, most traditional reporting methods won't cut it.

Many of the anomalous performance characteristics that are of interest to network operators are missed by traditional reporting techniques such as line plots, histograms, or pie charts. While these traditional approaches can be useful, they do not provide an effective mechanism for capturing the patterns of flows across the network.

nMetrics can represent whole of network flow patterns to provide more meaningful insight into network performance. This is done using a Flow Plot diagram, which provides a detailed picture of the conversations between disparate hosts and subnets and the associated TCP/UDP port usage.

Unlike many network behaviour analysis systems which rely on predefined algorithms to detect anomalous activity, the nMetrics Flow Plot diagrams provide a visual snapshot of whole of network flow patterns that allow network operators to identify strange behaviour almost instantly.

nMetrics can replay multiple Flow Plot snapshots over a period of time, similar to watching a movie. This allows network operators to identify changes in network behaviour over time that may go unnoticed when looking at a single discrete snapshot.  Read more
